  • What’s your favorite investing sites? – I use news aggregators to find good articles to read: 321gold.com, dollarcollapse.com – I use the GATA and SGTreport RSS feeds for higher volume blasting. – I listen to all of the interviews I can: kwn, usawatchdog, liberty&finance, tekoa desilva when he was active, etc. – I have a good collection of blogs via my news aggregator (I use feedly now and previously google reader) but I find it easy to fall out of the habit of reading them. After I’ve read a blog for a while, I’ve usually internalized their worldview and then start to find their stuff predictable, and then my reading falls off. What about you?

  • It looks like as of this morning that there is no longer a way to add news articles. The submit button takes you to the entertainment “Create” page. There does not seem to be any other option than images, film, or music, which clearly does not cover most news stories. Am I missing something?

  • I’m currently reading a book on the subject of software development. I found this particular quote to not only be applicable to software development, but also party politics. “There is no right answer, just different flavours of wrong.” I’ll leave it up to yourselves to find an interpretation you’re happy with. So which wrong are you gonna support next election?

  • First of all, I am unsure whether there is a more suitable category to file this under, if there is, I apologize in advance. I would like to know what are your thoughts on the News Feed Experiment Facebook conducted. In short, they removed posts with expressions tied to specific emotions. In one group, “happy” and “positive” posts were removed, as in the other, the “sad” posts did not show. This was done in order to watch the effects that the contents of the news feed had in your own status updates, or at least, that’s how I understood it. There has been vast outcry from the some media sources, as well as from the general public, questioning the ethics, and even suggesting an Orwellian side to the experiment. I’m not sure what to make of all of this. on one hand, it seems this type of situations is included in the Terms and Conditions. However, messing with a person’s state of mind through selective exposition, while interesting, is at least, of questionable ethics. Comments on this?
