In a recent essay Jeffrey Tucker writes, “What is the relationship between ideas and social change? It’s a gigantic question that has spawned a vast literature with nothing approaching a consensus. This is for a reason.” Joey interviews Jeffrey about the answer to this vast question.

  • Could this be a topic for a possible Liberty.Me Guide, that Jeffrey might do? I do love his style and would be interested in getting tips off him.

  • Hello all! I am very excited to have joined I have only been a “libertarian” for about 2 years. I was wondering if any of you had suggestions on which books or ideas to explore first? I’m fairly certain I’m more of the minarchist persuasion but am eager to learn more about all the different flavors of liberty. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Has anyone here been a member of Toastmasters? After trying out several groups for the past few years, I’ve finally found a club that I really like. I know that there’s a liberty-themed Toastmasters club that runs in DC, and I was thinking that perhaps this would be a good way to build libertarian communities in other areas. I’ve reached a point where I’m getting tired of attending and hosting libertarian events just to hang out or hear people speak. I love SFL because it helps everyone build leadership skills. Perhaps Toastmasters would be a two birds with one stone kind of thing, where libertarian minds can meet twice a month, while simultaneously improving their ability to spread our ideas.

  • I’m planning a free day-long conference in Washington DC about private solutions to science education and research & development, tentatively for March 2016. So far, I’d like to invite Terence Kealey, Mary Ruwart, and Matt Ridley. Cato has a Science branch, and I’m sure Reason would be interested in being there. Got any other speaker recommendations for me? What organizations would be interested in being present at an event like this?
