Trump has used his powers for good, finally, but has he gone far enough? What’s in the News with stories on healthcare rationing in the U.K., officer Payne is fired, TSA security theater, FDA condom regulations, bump stock ban coming, and the NYPD needs IT help. And, a Statists Gonna State segment on real slavery happening in America today. This episode is brought to you by Tom Woods’s Liberty Classroom, helping you to become a smarter and more informed libertarian than ever before, for just 24 cents a day.
[1:45] Love him or hate him, Trump is not a libertarian and never will be, no matter how many libertarians supported him. However, even presidents like Bush, Obama, and Trump can accidentally do things that are good for the free market and for people. Such is the case with Trump on healthcare.
Trump has signed an executive order last week making some major and sweeping changes to health care in this country. Apparently, he took lessons from Obama on how to dictate health care through executive order, but at least Trump’s order is better for the free market.
Let’s talk about what this executive order actually does and see what those implications are.

  • I’ve just recently blogged about Insidious Government Encroachment which I believe would provide the basis on a useful discussion here.   I’d be interested and hearing the views and experiences of others from this group.

  • Decades from now, when the leading political figures of this era are dead or dying and will thus not be prosecuted for anything, classified information from this era will be released. This will show that Ambassador Chris Stevens either knew something, did something, or was about to do something that the Obama regime hated. Killing one’s own ambassador would be political suicide, but when violence broke out in Benghazi, Obama, Clinton, and the rest chose not to let a crisis go to waste.

  • If you eat a shitty meal from a restaurant, of course you can leave a negative review and eventually they will go out of business, but what if you get food poisoning? Is that considered an assault? Would you be able to call your security? Would it not be a clear & present danger to others and necessitate immediate and swift action, less someone dies? BTW categories are not working.
