American Involvement In World War Two
Sorry If this is already a discussion, but I could not find a good libertarian position on American involvement in ww2. What would be a good libertarian response to something like Pearl Harbor?
Pearl Harbour did not happen in a vacuum. At a macro level, the two empires in the Pacific, the US and Japan, had to end up fighting, and a micro-level there is a lot to say about FDR refusing to meet Konoe in April ’41 and in November with the emissaries of the Big Six. On top of that, FDR really wanted an excuse to enter the war to help his British friend the Sailor. If Hitler had not declared war to the US, a convenient Lusitania-like accident would have happened.
There were no good guys in Second World War, as in any war in most cases.
