Hi All,

If you haven’t yet heard of the Life Liberty Advocate program, you might like to check this out: https://lifelibertyadvocates.com/

They have a program where you can earn part-time and full-time income promoting the principles of liberty.

I’ve listened to many of their materials and it is some of the best liberty education materials I’ve heard.

Anyway, if you are looking for a way to be able to afford to devote more of your time to the cause of liberty, this may be a great opportunity for you.

Of course I’m old (81), no longer in need of vast sums to maintain the lifestyle I enjoy most. I’ve raised 7 children (all but 1 now over 50, one soon to be 60), have 26 grandkids — all of whom are self-sufficient economically. So schemes to make lots and lots of US federal reserve notes (or bitcoins — which I do not understand and in which I have limited faith) are no longer that impressive to me unless I can do the numbers from the bottom up as well as the top down.

I believe in paying, and getting paid. Value-for-value.

But before I submit my name and other personal info with anybody (“sign up”) I want to know certain details about the “earnings” I’m supposed to develop for myself. And what kinds of “sigh-up fees” are involved. I want to know what product or service I’m expected to provide, and what value I’m going to be be offering my customers. That seems fair to me.

For instance, is this your classic multi-level-marketing? The urgency to get one signed up before revealing exactly what Life Liberty Advocates do to earn a living makes it appear so. Not that I’m opposed to MLM — I think folks like Amway probably have good products, albeit no doubt a tad over-priced for what you’re getting. But remember, you’re paying not only your sales person, but her supervisor (or next level), several additional levels above him, the very top level of whom is (“potentially”) making millions (“billions”???) by signing up dozens and dozens and dozens of signers-up, who are capable of signing up point-of-purchase gophers to actually knock on doors and market the product. The “top” signers-up no longer have time to promote the product to consumers, but are totally involved in “signing up” gophers and supervisors of gophers. And counting their federal reserve notes — or digital equivalents thereof. And acting enthusiastic even when not feeling entirely enthusiastic. Fake-it-’till-you-make-it.

You’ve been propagandized with slogans such as “freedom’s not free”. I’m here to tell you that freedom IS free. In fact, free is the only way freedom can manifest. My mantra is that I can be free. Here. Now. Where I’m “at”. Others will not make me free. Family members cannot make me free. Some of my kids seem to have acquired freedom mindsets, some have not (in my opinion). I love ’em all, equally. Even the “Ron Paul” types (I suppose some are now “The Donald” types), who stand somewhere in the middle between freedom and serfdom. Well, they believe that monopoly central political authority is desirable and necessary — it’s just that “we” need to get the right folks “in power”.

  It’s a short video so it still doesn’t answer all of your questions. I agree with much of what you say above though. The short answer is that the company uses a direct sales model and they sell educational products in the areas of financial education, liberty education and others.
  
  There’s no “closer” trying to get people signed up. If somebody is interested in hearing more, then they can speak with one of the Liberty Advocates and get their questions answered and decide what is best for them.
  
  It’s a powerful way of putting money in the pockets of liberty promoters and it has become one of the largest liberty movements in the country.

      3 or 4 days later: how about you. Did you contact ’em???
      
      I was set up for a phone interview. Got 6 or 7 emails, plus 1 almost every hour up to 30 minutes prior to my appointment — no call. Zilch. So, sent an email responding to one of their emails, got a nice one back from one of the guys listed as a principal, apologizing profusely. He said he would look into why, then would call me and do the interview himself.
      
      So far, zilch. I have the distinct feeling I won’t hear back. Which is OK by me. I don’t think they’re looking for old, set-in-their-ways anarchists. I suspect they’re attempting to market mini-statism as “freedom”. Sort of like a Ron Paul or a Donald Trump — sounds like freedom, but beware. Sam

      I’m going to pass your message on to the folks running everything. They’ve been pretty overwhelmed with with interest, not that that is an excuse for not getting back with you.
      
      There’s definitely no “mini-statism” being marketed. It really isn’t even a political movement or a political agenda. It’s about educating people on their inherent rights as individuals and encouraging them to flex those rights any way that they see fit.
      
      Anyway, hopefully you’ll hear from somebody soon!

      OK, Pat. But that’s what I’m doin’ right here, right now (although I personally abstain from use of the term, “rights”, and use “choices” in its stead — more about that on a separate thread). And nobody’s offering me any remuneration for it. Matter of fact, if they did (offer me “money” for selling the idea of liberty and freedom), they would themselves need to be benefiting economically in order to generate the payroll or the commission.
      
      So, somebody is selling books, or pamphlets, or webinars, or something — ideas that they believe are the ways to actually become free. And all I want to know up front (before I invest lots of time and effort and emotional energy) is what it is they want me to sell. No need for a complicated program to sell the idea and practice of liberty.
      
      I mean, I know I can sell copies of the late Harry Browne’s “How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World“, which (to me) is still one of the finest “owners’ manuals” in existence for anybody to follow who has a burning desire for liberty and freedom. I’ve linked a free online copy in the previous sentence. But if I could buy say, 100 of Harry Browne’s books at 2.00 each, I could no doubt sell ’em all in fairly short order for, say 3.00 each. And make myself 100 federal reserve notes. Because I know that there are many folks who prefer to sit in a comfortable chair by a well-lighted window or reading lamp and read hard copy — a book they can later give to their kids or grandkids — than to scroll through Kindle or a Pad or at a desk staring into the compooter.
      
      What we have here is a forum — a “liberty forum” — where not everybody agrees as to exactly how freedom might play out in the absence of central political “authority” (read: coercion, with loaded guns as stimulators for “voluntary compliance” :-] ), and we discuss steps that can be taken in order to steer clear of those nogoodnicks. We get into some animated bickering over the details and the philosophy, and don’t always agree — but none of us stand to gain economically from the exercise.

  Absolutely right, Sam. No one else, no movement, no group, and no political method will ever make anyone one free. Like everything else in life, it must be earned and secured by each individual.

      Howdy Rick (and y’all!):
      
      Yes, it IS network marketing — hope I’m not spilling beans or being an infidel by stating that at this time. Since the term “liberty” is involved, you might say it has to be “good” network marketing (as opposed to “bad” network marketing??? :-[ ).
      
      I’ll not go into detail right now as, typical to network marketing the promoters attempt to keep you in the dark until the “close” — the end of a little over an hour video. And, I’ll not post link (so as not to betray a trust — that has not yet been soundly established) to the hour-long video. In military parlance one learns the maneuver of “target softening”. Network marketing is fraught with softening of targets. As well as “manufactured excitement and enthusiasm”. (“Act enthusiastic and you’ll BE enthusiastic!!!!”) Not that I’ve got anything against genuine enthusiasm and a positive mental attitude, mind you. I’m absolutely convinced any and all of us need to be positive and enthusiastic in order to acquire freedom in a very unfree world.

Hi Pat,

The problem is you and your video never say what it is you are actually selling. If you don’t have a product, it is some kind of scam. If you do have a product, why the reluctance to spell out what it is?

Is the “liberty community” capitalizing on the greater fool model (see steemit.com,and same.) Not sure. But I am old school and agree with Sam Spade:

“I believe in paying, and getting paid. Value-for-value.”

So if I post shit about (just as an example) my small dick size – a steemit post that got lots of steem power or post a liberty lesson that pulls in a few suckers (myself being sucker #1), what have I created?

At least the scammers coming out of the woodwork suggest that there is a market for liberty.

Good try but this one stinks.

I really don’t like scams. And it is pretty sad to sell hopes with no service or products.
One cause of my happiness here is that here we all can speak truly and seek liberty.
We still are so few here. But I believe we all like the truth.

    I’m not arguing, Pat. But you’ve said this a number of times now, and I’m curious (as are apparently a few others who post here). Are you able to elaborate — or is it some dark secret that can only be uncovered by those who want to go through the rigors of “orientation”?? I made the effort, was ignored, was responded to by a Matt Papke, who said he would “…get back to me…” Zilch.

      It’s no dark secret. It’s just a lot to type out and I’m afraid I’m likely to not do it justice in a few sentences. That’s why they generally schedule a time to talk to somebody and explain everything over the phone.
      
      The company sells really excellent educational materials. Some of them educate on liberty principles directly such as the significance of certain aspects of the constitution, the concepts of sound money, the formation of the Federal Reserve, etc. Other products are more subtle and they introduce the concepts of liberty through topics such as becoming financially independent by understanding the financial landscape that we live in today.
      
      If people like the materials enough to want to share them with others, they can earn a commission for doing so. Some people are earning hundreds per month, some thousands per months and others are earning tens of thousands per month.
      
      The company has been around for over 10 years, they have an excellent reputation and they are one of the largest liberty movements in the country.
      
      I’m sorry that Matt didn’t get back to you. Our system has recently been a little overwhelmed with so many people being interested and that has, unfortunately, caused us to drop the ball on following up with a few people. We’ve mostluy fixed it now, but you were one of those people.
      
      If you would still like Matt to reach out to you, I’ll gladly let him know.
      
      Beyond that, if somebody wants more info, I’d suggest they click the link at the top of this discussion and schedule an appointment to speak to somebody. There’s no big sales pitch. They’ll explain the program and a person can decide if they are interested or not. Very straight forward. 🙂

Hi Pat and everyone. I checked out the link you posted, set up a phone interview, and have decided to invest in it. This did not happen overnight. I took my time and had more than one conversation with the person who contacted me. The company behind the Life Liberty Advocate program is LIFE Leadership. I checked into the products that are available through subscriptions. There are three key areas they cover: Financial, Professional, and Personal development. There is a lot that is there in these areas.

Also, they set-up the Commission plan so that a person can potentially make more than those who signed them up and even any who are above that person. The Founders are in the field doing the work as well. The company also, has a charitable organization that it has created.

All in all, it looks to me to be a legit and fair company with quality information available. I would also, like to mention that the person who contacted me did not try to sell me on anything. The fact is we talked for two hours that first day about Freedom and even discussed some politics. But I never felt pressured into buying anything. I do not know if others have had a similar experience, but that made it better for me so that I could do my own research and decide for myself.

Anyway, I wanted to put that on here so folks can have a bit more information about what was posted. If anyone has questions or is interested in finding out more feel free to message me. Or just post here; whatever works.

    Well, I certainly had no intention of that. I was just pointing out my experience so far. People seemed to have a lot of questions and after coming across this thread with the link, I decided to check it out. I like there philosophy and their products are solid.
    
    You certainly don’t have to dig further if you don’t decide to, but it seems to me that to not investigate what someone has posted as a possible opportunity. . .well, it’s your loss.

  I am not familiar with Advocare. Life Leadership does sell Personal, Professional, and Financial informational products. As far as, political persuasion, they really are not that political. Yet, there are some who are members that have given talks about the Constitution, etc., that can be found on YouTube. They are more geared towards education, not politics. At least from what I have seen so far.
