Hi Troi+. I just got a smartphone and I’m looking for good podcasts to keep in my pocket. I’ve only heard of School Sucks through a loyal listener friend @RichardMasta and I know Stephanie Murphy because she was my yoga instructor at Porcfest!! I had no idea she had a podcast though 🙁 better late than never I guess. Thanks for sharing!
This is totally self-promotional and therefore super-uncool, but I’d like to suggest Saturday Show Podcast. It’s a literature podcast, but we very much discuss issues of philosophy as well. For example, in our last episode, we discussed how a philosophical fundamental informs everything in a society–art, commerce, public policy, social norms, etc. So, if libertarians want to make an impact on American society, for example, they’d have to influence a vast majority of Americans to believe that the libertarian fundamental of philosophy (the non-aggression principle) is the best one to have driving everything else. Clear as mud? Excellent. If you’re interested, the podcast can be accessed here: frankmarcopolos.com
Goodness, my podcast list is giving my reading list a run for its money now!
Oh, and so I don’t look like a COMPLETE asshat… Other amazing podcasts are: Hardcore History, Common Sense with Dan Carlin, The Partially Examined Life, the Bryan Callen Show, the Joe Rogan Experience, and the Psychedelic Salon. The new Amber Lyon podcast, video show thing is pretty good, too.
Ben Stone’s “Bad Quaker” podcast is thoughtful and entertaining, when it’s not on hiatus. (There are a LOT of old episodes to peruse.)
I’ll be interviewing Lyn Ulbricht (Ross Ulbricht’s mom) this Sunday during the second hour of Peace, Love, Liberty Radio. Show begins at 3p Eastern, interview hour is at 4p.
I have another, that is one of my favorites but it has not had new podcasts on the feed in a while.
fun fun! I walk everywhere so I listen to a lot:
peace revolution, school sucks, tom woods, rockwell show, anarchast, libertas media project, lions for liberty, controversial truth, pat hat’s liberty.me show in the garage, mises weekends
also: paleo solution, primal blueprint, livin la vida low carb, art of manliness, Lapham’s quarterly, jack’s farm radio. There’s a new podcast called the paleo baby podcast that I want to follow but I don’t have a baby to do paleo experiments on…probably a good thing.

@jessicalee here is brian wilson interviewing walter block on the many types of libertarianism. pretty fun episode: http://www.libertasmediaproject.com/dl3/LMPBlock0618.mp3 (I know you love your old man block)
I’m surprised no one mentioned Free Talk Live, a unique talk show hosted by voluntaryists from Keene NH. They are syndicated on over 150 radio stations, great outreach.
Declare Your Independence with Ernest Hancock. Ernie has a lot of enthusiasm and a down-to-earth, let’s get it done sort of attitude.
I’ve just fallen in love with FTL! I love Darryl’s show Peace Love Liberty Radio, and his other show that’s a 5 minute rundown of the day’s news. Derek J Freeman has a wonderful show called Peace News Now, which I have found sneaking up the ranks real quick. A recent show on why you don’t need to show a cop your ID was invaluable.
I’m locked down for the next three days in Peace Revolution 83. 14 hours of intense grammar. Love it.
Freedomain Radio – Stefan Molyneux
Anarchast – Jeff Berwick
Complete Liberty – Wes Bertrand
Lew Rockwell Podcast
And for a bit of comedy to lighten this heavy list: Ten Minute Podcast (Will Sasso, Chris D’Elia, & Bryan Callan
Thanks everyone for giving me a bunch of new ones to try out!
Freedomain Radio for sure…. everyone needs to check out the great work being done by Stefan
I like Anarchast
I got through a full marathon listening to podcasts by these two.
Super excited to check out some of these other podcasts 🙂
Website for Partially Examined Life podcast is : http://www.partiallyexaminedlife.com. – This is a philosophy podcast and I think for Libertarians it helps to understand as much about philosophy as possible because it enables you to break down the arguments of others better. You can understand WHY they are taking their positions and then you can advance arguments counter to their viewpoint based on your knowledge of where the philosophy itself breaks down, thereby somewhat automatically causing all of their arguments to break down as well. It’s Ninja-ish. And PEL helps you to be able to do that.

School Sucks and Paleo Solution have risen to the top of my pile lately. I can’t get enough. The content is just so rich and important compared to anything else, even if they’re great competitors (of which Tom woods, jeff berwick, and jimmy moore are)…great list!
Radical Personal Finance Podcast
I have been enjoying this one.
The host has interviewed voluntaryists including Jake Desyllas from The Voluntary Life podcast.
The host talks about radical financial solutions to live the life you want.
Some of these I listen to every episode others I pick depending on topic or guests.
Anyone else listen to The Survival Podcast by Jack Spirko? It’s where I learned about Liberty.me.
So Liberty.me now has quite a bit of audio content. Has anyone figured out how to get them into a podcatcher (I use BeyondPod on Android)?
