With the events of the Dunblane massacre, LBC Radio presenter James O’Brien asked on his show today why do Americans feel so passionately about the right to keep guns, in a way the British don’t?
David, an American living in Tunbridge Wells, called him to say that guns are important to ensure the people can defend themselves against the government in case they turn rogue. O’Brien then asked whether the gun could do that with modern military technology, David stood firm. At first his answer left O’Brien speechless, and then he concluded by simply saying, “Oh boy.”
