Sam, I can’t thank people like you enough for what you do to make uninterrupted exchange appealing to the general public! I’ll be putting this to the test and hopefully contribute to the code for it someday.
The video has been removed from YouTube due to a policy violation. Now if only we had decentralized video hosting!
For that task, Retroshare and Project Maelstrom (among other P2P hosting means) will have to suffice for now…
I’ve tried downloading the .deb file (I’m running Linux Mint) but when I install it a few things happen. OpenBazaar doesn’t show up in my list of installed applications, and when I run “openbazaar” in a terminal, the program runs, but asks me to set up a server. Is there anywhere to get support in making this work right?
Seth,
I was able to get OB set up on Ubuntu. Make sure you dpkg the deb file, which it sounds like you have. I believe the server set-up should populate with your IP information by default since the platform is distributed in nature. Try completing the server set-up with your IP address and it should then prompt you to input your settings and page information to complete set up.
