What sources do you guys get your news from?

I use reason magazine and their website, drudge report, Anthony Cumia’s podcast network, some shows on Fox News every once in a while, and other articles and sites that crawl across my twitter feed. And Liberty.me of course. I don’t have a ton of time to just sit around and look at news sites all day. Any advice?

The various Nature journals are good for science research news. Foreign news sources are best for a non-rose-tinted view of US news.

Al Jazeera as far as world news, paid Bloomberg for financial news. Internal client, employee, corespondent and supplier correspondence for color and nuance.

For news I love RT, the Russians have always had better propaganda. Financial news I get from a plethora of sources, but my all time favourite show was Capital Account with Lauren Lyster…..wowzers. Zero hedge is good…

In addition to online news, I read a printed newspaper.

This protects me from living within a self-selected information bubble. It exposes me to a broad range of ideas, and keeps me in touch with a wide range of things that are happening. And no-one gets to track which stories I read 🙂

Being a cheapskate, I read the coffee shop’s newspaper. My preferred newspaper often isn’t available, so I read one of the others. I’m in the UK, where each newspaper targets a narrow demographic, and it’s enlightening to see how the same story is reported differently in different papers. The difference between newspapers is also striking when it comes to readers’ letters, and business commentary.
