Why is bitcoin tanking?
I think it is just correcting from its rally from under $200 to above $300.
Bryan Sovryn thinks bitcoin needs advertising. Just a thought.
My question is ‘why does a 2nd generation Crypto platform like NXT usually move in lock-step with bitcoin?’
Cryptocurrencies really haven’t found a niche of their own in the global economy. Bitcoin is being adopted, as are a few others, but that adoption isn’t coming along very quickly. Until people have a reason to use it, the primary place you’ll see cryptos get traded are the exchanges.
Although this does mean that, on occasion, one currency will have far less spending power than expected, it also means there’s a lot more potential for profit, if you’re willing to pay close attention to it.
These are my thoughts on it…

A much more relevant question is: what is bit coin worth? Price information is easy to obtain, but valueless in the absence of information concerning value. If the price is less than our opinion of value, we rejoice, and buy. If it is less , we rejoice, and sell. If we make a decision based on price, in the absence of information with regards to value, we either get lucky, or we mourn
I must be among the minority on this site with my view towards bitcon. The only value it presents to me currently is it’s use for moving money, and even then unless your moving considerable amounts, the hassle is often more than its worth.
You can buy goods and services with it, but my paywave mastercard is just as quick.
There is no financial security with bitcoin…once its gone from your account, what recourse do you have in a fraudulent transaction? My bank insures me against any fraudulent account usage..
Price stability? There is none….Whilst I’m certain the dollar is going to zero in the long term, bitcoin has been close to there several times since its inception.
I’m yet to see the benefit in adopting its usage…
Is anyone else of the same thought?
The value equal the number of problems it solves at this point. The more painful problem it solves, the higher the value.
