Crypto communities are a great place to start. Libertarians are everywhere. Some are less vocal than others.
But I echo what was said above, consider casting your net wider. It starts to get boring when everyone around you thinks alike. Plus having people around you who disagree forces you to keep questioning your own opinions.

I’m definitely late to the party on this one, but I’ll read through the entire post series just to get an idea of what took place in each city. Very impressed that someone managed to attend all these events, and if they always happen annually in that order then I’ll have to mimic the same game plan myself sometime!
-
@stateexempt It was too overwhelming to keep up the blog when I was moving from place to place. More than a few times, I woke up forgetting where I was. Or when flying, forgetting what city I came from. A fun but tiring experience!

I’d score it Social Media: 0 Liz: 1!
@jasonhilbert @davidmontgomery Ever since I started helping with L.m’s social, I actually use it a lot less – just more efficiently ๐
It’s always a good reminder that social media is best as a tool, not a lifestyle. I totally agree too that if you think an action might not have the value you think it should. Don’t do it! I find for most of my writing (about 98% of it), my moleskine journals are a satisfactory place for it. It’s kept my life simpler and more fun for sure.
This post series was an amazing thing to read, and I really admire how involved you’ve gotten with the movement!
In case you feel like going totally dark from the net, I have a recommendation for you:
Get a copy of “How to Disappear” by Frank Ahearn. And when you do, get either with cash, or a gift card – you’ll learn why you should get it that way on page three ๐
I’ve never used my full name on anything related to anarcho-capitalism/market anarchy/voluntarism, because I feel like my political views would cost me socially in the situation I’m in. Besides that, I want people to focus on my arguments rather than me as an individual.
The book is a very readable summary of practical privacy techniques. And the author even mentions having a Libertarian bent when it comes to disappearing from a country ๐
A lot of the things discussed in the book might be of value to you if you just want to scrub personal info from the web.
A good practice would be to place your name and any internet handles into pipl.com or spokeo.com to see what comes up. That would be a good start.
Come to think of it, I think I should give that book a read again soon…
